The lifecycle of an average Nigerian politician’s career.
Formed AD with people of “like minds”, a year later joined PDP then the
center couldn’t hold and he went back to AD which later metamorphosed to
ACN to appeal to other sectors of the country with the aim of being a
national party.
Then he couldn’t get his desire from his “people”
and he jumped the ship again to be in alliance with a camp where he
feels at “home - CPC!
Election was coming and there was need to
do some calculations and counter-calculations. His party merged with
other parties and they became ANPP!
Election came and went and his party wasn’t that lucky, off we go - the man is back to base to join his”friends” in PDP!
After few years - he got bored and decided it’s time to go with his
people, they formed NPDP and brought down the government by sleeping
with the enemy to form another platform APC!
After so much
agreements and disagreements, chop alone, chop together, scratch my hand
and I scratch your back. Our man suddenly remembered that his people
are being “marginalised”!
Now he is ready to fight tooth and nail
to “represent” and “protect” his people but not with this present party
but to be in alliance with other disgruntled people of “like minds” to
form another platform - NAPC!
But here is the joke - our dear
friend’s intention and plan is to eventually join PDP where his other
people of “like minds” are waiting with a smile and hugs to welcome the
“Dear leader”!
Here comes my concerns;
At what point do his actual people come into his plan?
How can a man with no integrity be parading as a leader?
Does he have any personal policy or ideology at all?
A political party should be an organised body where people of common
views and ideas come together to seek power, can we now say this man has
any form of “idea” or “view” in any way? Or he is just a political
prostitute with his own selfish interest?
This country is stranded as long as we allow cross-carpeting at will with zero shame!
If this man is jumping from one marriage to another, the community would frown and label him - so why is this any different?.
On Monday the opponent is a fraud and a killer, by Tuesday “He is my friend and the best man I have ever met!”.
Until the people come to realise that these people are only playing
poker with their destiny and future then there won’t be the change they
so desire!
A party won’t change a man, if they can’t perform in party A, they won’t make any difference in B or C!
To an average politician, it’s always a matter of power tussle and interest with zero concern for the people and the community!
If Modu Sherriff can end up in APC and Akala campaigning to be back as a governor under APC then you can get the drift!.
Those who were in PDP are now in APC, those who are in APC are going to
PDP. It’s all about power and how they can acquire it and with whatever
means - Nothing to do with policy or ideology!
A man that has
been your “leader” for donkey years and your community is still a mess
won’t become the messiah just by changing his gear and regalia! He is
still the same obnoxious, cruel, power hungry and kleptomaniac that he
has always being!
Support the person you know and trust and not the party - there is no difference!
Ordinary electricity - they couldn’t fix for 57years!!!!!
ndi ohi!
