What a Change of Party at The Centre Would Mean to Nigerians; The Possibilities
Whatever
is going on right now within the parties, it’s purely an alignment, this occurs
every 4 years and not unusual for politicians to cross from party A to B and
from party B to A.
Before
you go about throwing stones, just so you know that I am aware of the
shortcomings of this present government and in no doubt - some amendments are
required. There is no government without challenges and most of these are
man-made which in turn require man-made solutions.
It’s
common knowledge that there is no clear-cut ideology between the two frontline
parties and they are mostly alike anyway. Majority of those who were in the
last PDP led government are in this APC led government except a handful who
dare not come close or remained in power in their states maintaining the
opposition stand – having an opposition is good for democracy, it keeps the
government in power on its toes.
Even
if there is a change of government, the people are still at loss. This is like
doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result! It’s
not possible! That a man changed his robe doesn’t make him a different man!
Now
for those who don’t seems to get what’s going on and not in tune with reality,
all those regrouping and challenging the government of the day, please imagine
if that actually happened and there is a change of government, now imagine
those who would be in government as below; be sincere with your imagination,
there is a possibility of the list below being the people to rule us.

Dear
Nigerians, are you getting the drift yet? Nothing would change at all – it’s
just the same old charade, recycling of old leaders and compensating them with
positions and juicy contracts for a job well done during the elections!
In
all these, the people do not matter at all and it’s all about power and
remaining relevant.
We
Nigerians must come together and be on the same stage with one voice, we must
be in agreement and acceptance that we need help and that won’t come from
aliens but by us and for us.
All
these leaders have nothing else to offer but personal enrichment and swapping
of portfolios, they have been promising lots and doing so little!
By
now, we must understand that we do not require change of leaders but a complete
change of the system, a corrupt system of government wont produce a saint
leader, be it party ABC or party XYZ – They are the same people in different
parties whenever it suits them.
We
risk being stagnant for another 20years if we embark on another route of change
of leadership rather than focussing on changing the system.
Thank
you for your time as usual.
Tunde
Oluomo.
