In the old Oyo Empire politics - Bashorun Gaa was an important player and you can't tell the story of Oyo without mentioning his name, he was a Prime Minister of the old Oyo empire during the pre-colonial era! An unwritten agreement empowered the Bashorun to nominate Alaafin and he had absolute control over the kingmakers.

In the process - Bashorun Gaa had absolute control of all the political machinery of the old Oyo empire which rivalled and dwarfed the power of the Alaafin of Oyo himself, he became power drunk and a worse tyrant than the tyrant kings he fought. He was feared in the entire empire and his actions and words travelled far and wide.

Unconstitutionally, Bashorun Gaa became greedy and hijacked all political power and machinery in the old Oyo Kingdom, his cronies were installed in all positions across all villages and towns, he successfully diverted all benefits, homage and respect meant for the kings to himself, the gods of the land and ancestors were angry.

He was an instigator of crime in his domain, aiding and abetting crimes was his specialty. He met his waterloo when he was poisoned and cursed by the last Alaafin he killed, as a result of the poison - he was vulnerable, weak and paralysed.

That was the end of the powerful Bashorun Gaa, he not only lost all the power but became a vegetable while still alive.

As you read this piece, It is important to call out the fact that I have absolute nothing against all other candidates or parties and I wish them good luck in the upcoming election. I am a loyal party man and by extension, loyal to all my Party candidates even when I don't know them one on one, I really don't have to.

Majority of us supporting Dapo Abiodun are seeking the best for our dear state, we are independent and stable with the interest of the state development at heart. Our determination is to free the state from debts, waste, abandoned projects, selective and one sided developments to a state that we all can be proud of collectively and enjoy a widespread development irrespective of our tribe, political ideology/affiliation, faith or location.

The man DA as he is popularly known and addressed is not only educated and successful but an astute administrator, I won't sell him as being a perfect man as no one is but he is on a mission to make a difference despite all the odds against him.

So far, the party or DA is not enjoying the support of the state Governor who is on a personal mission and a selfish interest. Surprisingly, he has supporters and followers who are obviously after their own daily bread with zero consideration for the general public or the development of the state.

The Governor has made it known that he is desperate and won't leave no stone unturned to actualise his personal ambition, that includes spending billions of naira on an impossible mission, there is never money to complete projects that are scattered all over the state with zero intention to complete some of these projects which have been ongoing for as long as 7years.

Suddenly, cash are flowing to finance his baby party across all wards in the state. Majority of this party leaders would end up richer at the end of the day at the expense of the state in the name of mobilization!

Analysing his actions lately, one would think he is actually the candidate as we hear more of him than the actual candidate - similar situation occurred in Ekiti state recently, Eleka and Fayose! The rest is history! We haven't heard from either men in a while! And billions were wasted!

A support for Dapo Abiodun is a support for development in all sectors, from Education to Health, from investments attraction to the state and general commerce to increase in the general well being of the people.

His government would be an all inclusive government with no preferential treatment to one sector of the state over the other. From Yewa to Egba to Ijebu and Remo - What matters is that we are all from Ogun state and want the best for the state.

I implore us all to support and vote Dapo Abiodun for Governor - a vote for DA is a vote for freedom, economic empowerment, development across board and quality life for all.

If they couldn't do it for the last 8years then they won't suddenly have the magic wand!

A man that is incapable to be loyal to his own party is not to be trusted and won't be loyal to his own people either. An egocentric, power-hungry, autocratic, wasteful leader is about to be drowned in his own fantasy world.

Dapo Abiodun shall be elected as the next Governor of the state by the people out of love and desire for actual development that won't include non-needed bridges and uncompleted projects scattered in our communities.

Suddenly, in the name of election - there are temporary street lights in all the cities. To be removed after the election back to storage! Probably rented! Enough of all the deceits in the name of governance! Dede e la ma se oooo! Lies upon lies!!
